HI, I'M BARBARA,
specialist in maternity and newborn photography, based in DubaiI’ve been working professionally as a photographer for 18 years, and maternity has been part of my work for over 13 of them. Becoming a mother changed the way I see this work completely. Today, I’m especially drawn to photographing motherhood in its different stages, from pregnancy to newborn and breastfeeding, with a natural and delicate approach, and a process that feels calm, personal and well guided.

MINIMALIST, NATURAL & ELEGANT PHOTOGRAPHY
I have always thought pregnant women are beautiful, and at the same time, I know many women do not always feel that way while their bodies are changing so much. Some may feel insecure or not quite recognise themselves, and that is why I want to show them what I see. I keep my approach minimalist, simple and intentional. I prefer clean styling, carefully chosen colours and images without unnecessary distractions, so the focus stays on you, your body and this stage of your life. During your maternity photoshoot, I guide you through posing, light and styling, so you never need to know what to do in front of the camera. The result is elegant and natural, with enough direction to help you feel confident while still looking and feeling like yourself.
Maternity Photo Session – A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Every session starts with getting to know you a little — your story, what you feel comfortable with, what you are drawn to, and what you would like these photographs to feel like. Together with my team, Nathalia and Juliana, we guide you through the process, helping with preparation, styling and the little decisions along the way, so everything feels clear and personal from the beginning.
Your session is then planned around you, including the setting that best suits the experience you have in mind. You can choose between studio, home or outdoor, each offering a different atmosphere and way of photographing this stage.

Your Photoshoot, Your Way
IN STUDIo
For a more polished and controlled look, with carefully shaped light, clean backgrounds and a minimalist aesthetic. Our private home studio is calm, cozy and prepared before you arrive, with temperature control and everything we need close at hand. There is no rush, so we can take the time to adjust outfits, lighting and poses comfortably throughout the session.
AT HOME
For a more personal and relaxed experience, we can photograph you in the comfort of your own home. Your space does not need to be perfectly styled — sometimes all we need is one beautiful corner with good light. A bedroom, living room or quiet spot by a window can be enough to create images that feel intimate, natural and completely personal to you.
OUTDOOR
For more movement, open space and beautiful natural light, an outdoor session is a lovely option. From Dubai’s beaches and parks to iconic locations around the city, we choose a setting that feels right for you. Ideal if you enjoy nature and a more relaxed atmosphere, while still keeping the photographs elegant and refined.

YOU DON’T NEED TO KNOW HOW TO POSE
Most of my clients are not used to being in front of the camera, and they do not need to be. After more than 13 years photographing maternity, I know how much the right direction, light and small adjustments can change the way you feel in a photograph.
I gently guide you into a position and then let things unfold from there, using small adjustments, movement and interaction so the final images still feel like you.
PREPARING FOR YOUR PREGNANCY PHOTOSHOOT
We also help you prepare before the shoot, with suggestions for colours, styling and outfits. We have a small selection of minimalist pieces available in the studio, but I often like to mix them with your own clothes so the session still feels personal to you.
Partners, children and pets are always welcome, and I keep the session calm and easy for everyone involved, including those who may not feel very comfortable in front of the camera at first.
BEYOND MATERNITY
Becoming a mother changed the direction of my photography and naturally brought me closer to other stages of motherhood too. Over time, newborn and breastfeeding photography became an important part of my work, each with its own approach but with the same focus on simplicity, connection and real moments.
NEWBORN LIFESTYLE
My newborn sessions follow the baby’s rhythm and keep things simple, without elaborate props or rigid poses. Whether they are asleep, awake, feeding or being held, I photograph them as they are, together with all the little details and connections that make those first days so special.
BREASTFEEDING SESSIONS
Breastfeeding became very meaningful to me after becoming a mother, and eventually led me to create Breastfeeding Moment, my personal photography project around this experience. If you would like to document this part of your story too, the sessions are intimate and simple, with the focus on the connection, the small details and the way this moment feels for you and your baby.
