Film cameras brings us back to the roots of photography, where every frame matters and imperfections add character.
Each roll tells a story and each photo feels like a little piece of art.
Why We Still Love Film Photography

Remember that feeling of waiting for your film to be developed, not really knowing what you captured, just hoping the photos turned out okay?
Nowadays everything moves so fast and the digital practically takes over everything.
The film photography offers something rare: a quiet kind of magic! It’s more than a trend. Film invites us to slow down, be present and create with intention.
For me, there’s something deeply nostalgic and emotional about it. It takes me back to my childhood — the excitement of picking up prints and hoping they turned out well. But beyond nostalgia, there’s beauty in the process itself. The grain, the texture, the softness of the light, it all feels timeless.
If you’ve ever held a film photo in your hands, you know — it just feels different.
You don’t get instant previews or unlimited tries. You simply frame the moment, trust your instinct and wait to see what comes back. That element of surprise? It’s part of the magic and there are still people out there who truly appreciate it.

Barbara Crepaldi, our photographer, is one of those who still embraces film. She continues to shoot professionally with it today and she works with two very special cameras: “The Pentax K1000 was the camera I used for my very first photography contest at age 15 — and I came in second place! Years later, during college, I truly learned how to photograph with it. It’s the first camera I ever used, and I still feel a strong connection to it. With good film, the results are incredible.”
Recently, she added another favorite to her equipments, the Canon Autoboy 2, a classic camera from the ’80s and ’90s. “I bought this (used) camera to shoot a birthday party on film — I wanted something compact, with automatic flash and a vintage feel. Seeing the developed images brought me right back to my childhood. We used cameras like this on special occasions. These photos captured that feeling perfectly.”
Whether it’s the warm tones of color film or that nostalgic feeling it brings, film photos carry something special that’s hard to replicate and that’s why so many people are falling in love with it all over again!
